Master's Degree Option

A Master's degree in Montessori education is an option for those pursuing the AMI Primary diploma. Loyola College in Maryland (located near Baltimore) recognizes Montessori Institute of Atlanta as an affiliate institute. The Montessori training course is equivalent to 27 of 36 graduate credits required for the Loyola Master's degree. Upon graduation from MIA, one can take the three additional courses in Baltimore over a 3-4 week summer. Two additional research papers are typically completed by October of the next school year, but students have up to 5 years to complete the program. (However, it is not a retroactive degree.) Student loans are available through the Graduate School office of Loyola College for those who are enrolled in the graduate degree program. Details on requirements for admissions and tuition information are available upon request.
